Q. How can we get in touch with you?A. We're always available at
info@pashminainternational.com, and will reply to any questions as soon as humanly possible.
Q. How thick are your pashminas?A. Our products come in varying degrees of thickness. You can see this information on the product page, where pashminas can go up to 4-ply for extra cosy warmth. Remember that our scarves are much larger than normal, and so our scarfs contain almost 2.5 times the amount of material that a normal scarf would. Add this to the way silk lets a pashmina
fold well, and you have a versatile and thick garment; if it's cold, fold it a few times and get warm pockets of heat - in warmer weather, open it up a bit and keep the breeze off your shoulders.
Q. Why are your prices so low?A. We don't have overheads such as a shop front to run, staff to employ, or a warehouse to keep. Our supply chain is very short - so the garments almost come straight from the factory to you.
Q. How can you offer such cheap shipping?A. It's simply very cost effective for us to send pashminas via airmail, and we'd rather help you out by covering this minimal cost!
Q. What difference does the amount of silk and cashmere in a pashmina make?A. There are many different ways of spinning and weaving pashminas. The most obvious difference is in the amount of silk and cashmere used. Scarves made of 100% cashmere are thick and warm but can also be a little too scratchy for comfort. The higher percentage of silk a pashmina has, the more durable it is. 100% silk scarves can feel very different to the touch, depending on how they are woven. Some feel light and flowing, while if it is fluffed silk, it can feel almost painfully soft and cosy.
Q. I'm not sure about international shipping. What happens if there's a problem?A. Don't worry! Our returns policy is set up to make sure you are satisfied, even in the event of any problems. You'll get a refund in the (extremely unlikely) case of any loss or damage in the post, without any argument from us. Just take a look at our
shipping information for full details.
Q. I've heard that many pashminas are made with child labor. Are yours?A.
No. To keep up with international standards, we've been lucky enough to visit our manufacturers' plant in Suzhou, East Jiangsu, China. It's staffed by adults and a lot of machines. Everyone works decent hours, earns a skilled worker's wage and eats well - they even get a 2-hour lunch break! Not many other firms can offer you this level of guarantee. This forms part of our
organic pashmina concerns.
Q. Can you wholesale pashminas to us?A. Almost certainly; see our
wholesale pashminas page for details on our bulk order policies.
Q. Are you affiliated with any charities?A. We're proud to announce that we will donate 5% of any order containing a
pink pashmina to the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation, as part of our contribution to the Pink Ribbon campaign.
